Developmental Goals and Objectives

Babies Room ( 6 weeks to 23 months)

The Babies room is designed to facilitate interactions between children and staff, as well as between the children themselves. All routines at home, such as feeding, bottles and sleeping times, are continued the centre in order to promote regularity. Feedback from the childs interest is injected into the weekly program for the children

0-6 Months

6-12 Months

12-24 Months

Toddlers Room ( 24 to 35 months)

The day is designed with each child’s growing knowledge and competencies in mind, and therefore there is a balance of experiences provided which are both teacher initiated as well as child initiated. For example, while teachers offer story and group times (which can be music, movement, memory games, extension work, as well as many various guided program elements), children can also make their own decisions in that they are able to independently access certain equipment – such as blocks, reading corner, writing and literacy tables, at any time of the day. Feedback from the childs interest is injected into the weekly program for the children

2 - 2½ Years

Preschoolers Room ( 3 to 5 Years)

School Readiness ( Starts at 3 years and continues to starting Primary School)

In practice, our School Readiness Program commences from the time your child is enrolled at our centre, regardless of their age and represents a systematic and continuous approach to preparing each child for primary school. When the child enters the pre-school room at 3 years old, they are introduced to the "Jolly Phonics" syllabus, aiming to have your chldren reading by the time the go to Primary School. There is one proviso, we need to start this program when the child turns two, giving us at least 3 1/2 years to achieve this objective. For more information, see the School Readiness menu item.
